Casa Ariabella

Set on the Tuscany–Umbria border near Montepulciano and Lake Trasimeno, AriaBella is an elegantly styled villa steeped in history.  With parts of the house dating back to 1640, the house was completely renovated in 2016 and now boasts five ensuite bedrooms all with air-conditioning, a gated heated private pool, floor-cooling system throughout - and the ultimate alfresco lifestyle to make magical memories in beautiful Tuscany/Umbria.

History of Casa Ariabella

The house dates back to at least the mid 17th century wih the oldest and tallest part of the house being recorded in history books of the local area in teh 1640s.   Over time, the house fell into disrepair until an Economic Professor from Leicester, Stuart Thompstone brought the house back to life in the 1990s.  There are photos of the development in the kitchen from 1993.  Casa Ariabella became one of the first villas rented out by Tuscany Now - and was rented several times by the current owners.

Whilst Stuart loved the house dearly, he needed to move back to the UK and sold it to the current owners in 2015.  Whilst Casa Ariabella has great bones, the house needed a complete internal renovation and that was completed in 2016.
